Learn the Zentangle® Method of art with Certified Zentangle® Teacher (CZT), Bonnie Cox. This is an easy to learn art technique that is fun, relaxing and therapeutic. Once learned, it can be practiced anywhere using a wide variety of common drawing materials. In Zentangle® there are no mistakes and no eraser is needed. Artistic experience is not necessary, just a desire to enjoy creating something lovely.
This is a two part class occurring at the library on July 28 and August 4. You’ll learn basic designs on Tuesday, July 28 and continue with more advanced techniques on Tuesday, August 4. Both sessions run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Registration is required by July 27. Register in person or by phone (682-5578). A materials fee of $5.00 will be collected at the door, but may be paid in advance if registering in person.
The 2015 Summer Reading Challenge “Read to the Rhythm” is over! This year, 133 kids participated and 73 completed the program by reading 3 hours a week for 4 weeks! By reading, of the participants helped raise over $150, which will be donated to the Music is Hope Foundation and the Community Children’s Theater. Great job everyone!!! Hope to see you next year in “Read for the Win 2016″!
Once again, the Peoria Heights Library will be participating in the “Where’s Waldo” event throughout the month of July! Come by the library to find Waldo and we will stamp your passport. Once your passport (which you can get at the library and other Heights businesses) is full, bring it in to “I Know You Like a Book” on Prospect for a prize!
