The library’s annual basket raffle fundraiser will return again in February. A variety of exceptional baskets are donated by local businesses, library friends, and staff. Patrons may also donate themed baskets for this event, or donate individual items.
Patrons will have an opportunity to win a basket by purchasing raffle tickets. One ticket is $1, or you can buy six tickets for $5. Money raised from the raffle will be used for expenses associated with our Summer Reading Club. The baskets will be on display at the Circulation Desk throughout the month of February, and the drawings for the lucky winners will be held on Friday, February 27.
The 2015 tax season is rapidly approaching and we’ll soon have a selection of popular IRS forms ready for free distribution to patrons. The public computers may also be utilized to find tax help, print forms or file taxes online.
Tax help from AARP will not be available at the Peoria Heights Library for the upcoming tax season. To find AARP tax assistance sites locally, use the Tax-Aide Locator at www.aarp.org.
